"Hey, thoughtless folks, you don't even know how to add up 8 and 2", Vallalar
Dear Friends,
Best Greetings!

We don't know how to add up Ettu, 8 and Rendu, 2! What do you mean? Great question to ponder! However, in the School of Sanmaarga Thoughts, it is considered just like an elementary/kindergarten question only.

In Arutpa, Vallalar addresses open heatedly on the worldly ignorances many a times. For example, "Hey thoughtless folks, you don’t even know how to add up 8 and 2?” Well. “Why did he say like this?” Please explain the inner meaning of it!

Few questions like these ..., I have received from our great folks yesterday via email.

Fine. In fact, it is not a tough question to be answered, even by a junior Sanmaargi. So, it is apparent that few of our friends , maybe curiously checking on me. Welcome, brothers! At the same time, I am also aware of that new sanmaargees may not know its real meaning. So, here is my open answer for your glance, and I hope this may awaken some of the infant Sanmargees.

We know, even a small kid knows very well how to add up 8 and 2 to get 10. Then, why did Vallalar particularize like this?

Well. Let us see now.

Ettu, 8 - refers to God/Thiruvarul/Almighty Grace, since the Tamil numerical symbol for eight is அ ...aharam

Rendu, 2- refers to Soul/Anma/Uyir as the Tamil numerical symbol for two is உ ...uharam

So , the addition of 8 and 2, symbolically represents the combination of அ + உ or the State of Siva Anubhavam.

That means,
8 + 2 = அ + உ = Almighty + Anma/Soul; that means, the Eternal Union of soul with Almighty /The Sate of Oneness with the Almighty/ Mukthy/ Moksha/Eternal Liberation from the worldly Samsaram or the Eternal Liberation from the Life and Death Cycle/Complete Release from Maya Malangal ( Ego + Action/Karma +Illusions)/Complete Release from our own Ignorance/Thathuva Nikgraham/Nirvana/ the Highest Happiness/The End of worldly religious Endeavors/The State of Satchidānanda, or Sat-cit-ānanda/ The effective experience of Sorubha(Sat)-Robha(cit)-Sobhava(ananda) state.

Now, I too see an another question in your mind. That is; what is after Sivanubhavam or Mukthi. The world says, " Endlessness" or "Nothingness" or "Infinite Samaathi" On the other hand, Vallalar says, "Something Great that could never ever be imagined! Well.Let me explain about this great life later on as you need to know this difference clearly.

The final destiny or ultimate stage of any worldly religious endeavours is the so called , Sivanubhavam only, means-Adthvaithananda Nilai or Vanishing in God. But, for us/Sanmaargees, this is not the final stage, but the starting point only. The Sivanubhavam or the Mukthi- Experience is the Starting of Anaha Life, as described by Vallalar. Yes! For us, Mukthi enbathu Munnuru Saadhanam only!-Arutpa

However, you need to be very conscious! Why because, the enemy-he, or she, or it is not outside, but right there within you only. Yes, our own ego will destroy us completely, by means of manifold fake manifestations of our mind, due to our own Maya Malangal, as we start to imagine that Sivanubhavam is just like this. Well. That is why, we need to stay focused consciously, and always pleasantly be absorbed in high Compassionate (Jeevakharunyam) thoughts and services in order to overcome our own ego problems.

Hope you got it. Thank you.

Still there are few more questions in their mails; such as, what is the difference between Siddhy and Mukthi?, explain the meaning of Sirsabai and Porsabai, how to control our mind, what might be the Sadhana or Yoga, most likely practiced by Vallalar?, if the deathless life is true, then who got it after Vallalar?, Are you trying to get it? If Vallalar attained his deathless life, then why didn’t he reappear in front of us now? And so on...

Well, soon you may find my short answers here, one by one, by His Grace. If detailed answer is required , please feel free to shoot me with your questions via my email, anmaneyam@gmail.com.

Almighty blesses us abundantly,
Vast Grace Light,
Compassionately yours,
