Ariyalur Dt.Lingathadimedu Thavathiru Muruganandha Adigalar...Memorial Day...(04.03.2015)
The Memorial day of Thavathiru Muruganandha Adigalar, who lived in Lingathadimedu near Ariyalur is today. (His period is 22.08.1911....to ... 04.03.1964). His parents who lived in Sivagiri in Tirunelveli District named him as Subramanian initially. Later he was called as Chelliah. After that, he came to Lingathadimedu in Ariyalur District (4 kms.from Ariyalur Dist.Hqrs).at the age of 24 and lived there in the way preached by St. Vallalar. People called him as Muruganananda Adigal.

அருந்தவத்தின் தனிநினைவோ
   கலைநிறைவோ அருட்பெருக்கோ
       அருமையோங்கும்
பொருவறுநின் பெருங்குணமோ
    பொதுத்தொண்டின் விருப்பமதோ
        பொறுப்பா யும்மைக்
கருமனத்தார் தமைத்திருத்த
    கடவுளருள் கருதியதோ
        கருத்து யாதோ
பொருள்கருதா மனத்தொடுமெய்ப்
    பொருள்கருதி மனைதுறந்து
       போந்த வாறே       .....

      He toured all over Tamil Nadu and formed nearly 108 Sanmarga Sangams during his period. It was he, who purchased the birth place of St. Vallalar at Marudhur and formed the Sanmarga Sangam. He also spread the suddha sanmarga principles of St. Vallalar in Andhra, Kasi, Kashmir etc., He was planning to form a Sanmarga Sangam (109th Sanmarga Sangam) at Karakpur near Ranavari area in Kashmir. So, he spread the principles of St.Vallalar from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari.

      Thiru Ramalingam, Sanmarga Anbar of Ariyalur..is living in U.S.A. He requested Thiru V.Viswanathan of Dindigul to deliver a speech on suddha sanmargam at Ariyalur Sanmarga Sangam. Thiru V.Viswanathan of Dindigul (Senior Sanmarga Anbar) delivered a speech on 14.2.2015..which was already posted in this website. The District Secretary of the Ariyalur Sanmarga Sangam Thiru Kulandai Velu (Retired) Forest Range Officer, Ariyalur also spoke on that occasion.

     Thiru Ramalingam (USA) also insisted to visit the Vallalar Kalvi Nilayam at Lingathadimedu.and also the places wherein Thavathiru Murugananda Adigal lived in Lingathadimedu.  It was also visited on the after noon of 14.2.2015.

     His tomb is situated in Vadalur near Railway Station. Thiru Viswanathan.of Dindigul.after hearing about him and the works done by him...proceeded to Vadalur on 2.3.2015 and worshipped the tomb near Railway Station in Vadalur.
